Construction Location:

North of the Student Health Center (HC) to Central Walk, along Student Union Lane just to the east of Jack Brown Hall.

Construction Zone:

All roads, parking lots, and grassy areas between the existing Health Center Building and the temporary Health Center trailer along Central Walk are closed for construction. Gates to the construction site are located on the service road that links the Library loading dock and the north side of Jack Brown Hall on the east side and a gate from Central Walk just east of the Temporary Health Center Trailer on the north side. Public passage through these gates is NOT permitted.

Detours:

Health Center / Health Center Trailers

All roads and paths NOT between the existing Health Center building and the temporary Health Center trailer to the North remain open to all appropriate foot and vehicle traffic.

North/South Traffic

The recommended North / South route is through Jack Brown Hall.

Student Union Lane will be closed from the Health Center to Central Walk. A temporary sidewalk has been added along the west side of Student Union Lane for direct pedestrian passage toward the new College of Education Building.

East/West Traffic

Those who wish to move East / West can pass between the existing Health Center building and the Student Commons, or use Central Walk.

Physical Education Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conidtioning Upgrade

Nov. 9th, 2009 - Feb 1st, 2010

Construction Location:

The grass areas that are the Western, Northern, and Eastern corners of the intersection of Central Walk and the path that runs from the North side of Jack Brown Hall, past the fountain, to the Health & Physical Education Complex, are fenced and closed to public passage due to construction.

Construction Zone:

All three of the corners are considered construction zones although there may be times when there is little or no activity occuring in one or two of the areas. Work may occasionally focus entirely in one of the 3 areas.

Detours:

Physical Education Building

The foot path between the ivy garden and the Northwest facing side of the Physical Education building, located under the overhang of the Physcial Education building roof, is closed to all traffic. The path that runs from the North side of Jack Brown Hall, past the fountain, toward the Health & Physical Education Complex should be used as the most direct alternative route.

North/South Traffic

All of Central Walk, from parking lot G to the Visual Arts Center, remains open and available to all appropriate traffic.

The path that runs from the Physical Education building to the Education Building, and is North and parallel to Central Walk, remains open to all approriate traffic.

East/West Traffic

The un-named path that runs from the North side of Jack Brown Hall, past the fountain, to the Health & Physical Education Complex, is open and available to all appropriate traffic.
